Fantasy hockey slots with tonight's NHL games. Promo funds only.
All contests use tonight's games. Each has its own league spin.
Promo funds have no cash value and can't be withdrawn. New funds are issued by Rink Reels.
Draft 3 F · 2 D · 1 G · 1 UTIL under a $50K cap, with no more than 3 players from one team and players from at least 2 games. Players lock when their game starts. One entry per contest each night during the beta.
Scoring is ESPN standard ×4 from real NHL box scores. Skaters: goal 8 · assist 4 · power-play point 2 · short-handed point 2 · shot 0.4 · hit 0.4 · blocked shot 2. Goalies: win 16 · save 0.8 · goal against −4 · shutout 12 · OT loss 4, and a goalie never scores below 0. If your goalie doesn't play, the goalie who played for his team counts in his place. (Slates before Oct 12 used −8 per goal against with no floor or swap.)
Salaries come from projected fantasy points on one curve for every position; stars cost a little more per point. Each contest spins once for five tokens and you apply one to one player: player 1.4–2×, team F 1.4×, team D 1.5×, team G 1.3×, position 1.1–1.2×. Tokens are likelier to land on underdogs and lesser-known players, and those get the bigger boosts.
Rink Reels is a free beta played with promo funds that have no cash value. You must be 18 or older to play.
It's blackjack with tonight's players. The night's best skaters are aces, worth 1 or 11. Other skaters are worth 3 to 10 by projection (about a third are 10s), and goalies are 2s. You and the dealer get two cards each; one dealer card stays face down. Hit to get closer to 21. Go over and you bust. Stand to lock your hand; the dealer then draws to 17. Both hands then score real fantasy points tonight, and each card multiplies its player's points by its value: a 2 is 1.0×, a 10 is 1.48×, an ace counted as 11 is 1.5×. Higher score wins and pays 2× your wager. A natural 21 adds 1.25× to the whole hand and pays 3:2.
Your blackjack total matters too. Each card past your first two takes 10% off the hand's points (3 cards 90%, 4 cards 80%), unless the hand is exactly 21, which always counts in full. The dealer's hand follows the same rule. If you beat the dealer's total, your points get 5% more for every point you win by, up to +25%. The same total as the dealer is a push and your wager comes back, but a natural 21 still beats a dealer's 21 made with three or more cards. If the dealer busts, the dealer's points count at only 65%, so you're a big favourite.
Double down: on your first two cards, double your wager and take exactly one more card. Split: if your first two cards have the same value, split them into two hands with a wager on each, then play each hand in turn. You can double after splitting. Split aces get one card each, and 21 after a split isn't a natural.
Wagers are $1 to $10, three rounds per night. Only players whose games haven't started are in the deck.
One pull reveals five tokens for everyone in this contest. You'll pick one.
